FAQs
What is the best month for a first safari?
June to October: it is dry, the grass is short and animals gather near water, so game viewing is easiest.
Is the green season worth it?
Yes, if you don’t mind afternoon rain. Parks are quiet, lodges cost less and the landscape is green. April and May are the wettest months.
When can I see the river crossings?
Usually from July to October in the northern Serengeti, but timing changes every year with the rains.
