   The Tarangire day trip offers a captivating adventure into Tanzania's wildlife haven. Nestled within the northern circuit of Tanzania's national parks, Tarangire boasts a diverse ecosystem, renowned for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife.

   1. Early morningPick-up from your hotel in Arusha and a drive of about two hours past Maasai villages to Tarangire.
   2. At the gatePark entry, and a short briefing from your guide on the day and the park rules.
   3. Game driveOut in the pop-up-roof Land Cruiser. Tarangire is elephant country: expect big herds, plus zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and gazelle. Lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas are here too, though they take more luck.
   4. BirdsOver 550 species, from kori bustards and secretary birds to lilac-breasted rollers.
   5. LunchPicnic lunch with a view, often near a waterhole where animals come to drink.
   6. AfternoonA last game drive, then back to Arusha in the evening.
