After a brief morning orientation, you'll set off toward Tarangire National Park. This park, characterized by its savannah, majestic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and lagoons, is famous for its large elephant herds. Wildlife gathers around the vital Tarangire River, and you can expect to see a variety of mammals, including giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, along with the unusual gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, often trailed by predators like lions. While leopards are occasionally spotted, cheetahs are rare. From the open roof of your safari vehicle, you’ll have a perfect vantage point to take in the landscape and observe the wildlife. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge.

After breakfast, you'll leave Mto wa Mbu and embark on a 6-hour journey to the Serengeti, traveling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you'll make a brief stop at the Ngorongoro Crater gate and viewpoint to take in the breathtaking scenery. Next, you have the option to visit a Maasai village, where you can immerse yourself in the rich culture of the Maasai tribe. Known for their historic practices like lion hunting and drinking raw animal blood, the Maasai offer a unique cultural experience. Though many of these traditions are now in the past, you can still learn a great deal about their way of life (this visit is optional and not included in the tour price; entrance fees range from $10 to $20). You will arrive in the Serengeti in the late afternoon and begin a game drive in the Seronera area, the heart of the Serengeti. As you explore, you'll witness a stunning sunset while observing wildlife, and with some luck, you might even see a predator in action.

After an early breakfast, we'll embark on a morning game drive in the Seronera area in Serengeti National Park, giving you the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife. After an early breakfast, we’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, setting off on a journey to spot the elusive black rhino. Rhinos are the most challenging animals to find in this stunning crater, while other wildlife is easier to observe due to the unique landscape of the crater floor. After lunch, we'll continue our game drive before ascending the crater and returning to the camp to pack. We will then head back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
