After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600m (2,000ft) into the crater to witness the rich wildlife that thrives within. With its constant water supply and lush vegetation, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a diverse range of animals, including wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, eland, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants. The park is also renowned for its high concentration of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards, which require a keen eye to spot. During your visit, you will explore Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern part of the crater. This area is a sanctuary for numerous flamingoes, hippos, and various water birds. In the late afternoon, you will transfer to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay, or you may choose to be dropped off at the airport. Accommodation in Arusha can be arranged upon request for an additional cost.
