After being picked up from the airport and receiving a tour briefing, you'll head to Arusha with a packed lunch. The journey to Ndutu takes about 5.5 hours, covering 260 km. After driving for around 2 hours, you'll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape transitions from hilly forests to expansive plains and lush grasslands, which eventually merge into the Serengeti. Ndutu is a key location along the path of the annual migration, with over 2 million wildebeest, along with thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles passing through. If you visit between December and April, you'll witness the plains transforming into calving grounds for the great migration, attracting numerous predators eager to prey on young wildebeests. Ndutu, with its lakes—Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek—provides essential water sources, ensuring abundant wildlife even in the dry season. The area is also home to six species of big cats, offering a rich and diverse wildlife experience.

On the final day of your safari, you'll start early, with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 a.m. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, boasting a vast floor of about 260 sq km and a depth of over 2,000 feet. During the 5 to 6-hour game drive on the crater floor, you'll witness an abundance of wildlife, so be sure to keep your camera ready. Expect to see African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in their natural habitat. After enjoying a picnic lunch by the scenic hippo pool, you'll begin the steep ascent out of the crater. This marks the last leg of your safari, with a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. You'll be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha in the evening or transferred to the airport.
