Mid-rangeTented camp
Ang’ata Ndutu
Ndutu, southern Serengeti ecosystem, Tanzania
About the stay
Why we use it
A tented camp on the Ndutu plains, where the wildebeest give birth in the green season.
Ndutu is the southern end of the Serengeti ecosystem, inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From about late January to March the wildebeest herds gather here to give birth, and the lions, cheetahs and hyenas follow them.
We use Ang’ata Ndutu on our calving-season safaris because the herds are often a short drive from camp, not half a day away. The tents are en-suite, with meals in the main tent.
Close to the calving
In season, the herds are often near camp.
Tented and en-suite
Comfortable tents with their own bathroom.
