After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel. You will head to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that runs through it. During the dry season, this river becomes the primary water source for the region’s wildlife. The park’s landscape varies from dense elephant grass and acacia woodlands to lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen near the river, along with giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. Predators like lions and leopards are commonly spotted as well. The park also boasts the highest number of bird breeding species in the world.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will set off toward Serengeti National Park, journeying through its iconic, endless grassy plains. Widely regarded as the world's most impressive wildlife sanctuary, the Serengeti offers an afternoon game drive where you may witness vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or catch a pride of lions resting in the shade. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the full-day game drive. The diverse landscapes of the Serengeti, shaped by ancient volcanic activity, create distinct habitats, from acacia-covered hills to the black clay pans that attract giraffes and other wildlife.

A safari in the Southern Serengeti offers a front-row seat to the Great Migration, with daily game drives showcasing this remarkable wildlife spectacle. In the early months of the year, you can witness newborn wildebeest taking their first steps on the lush green plains, while later in the season, vast herds move northward toward the Masai Mara. The Southern Serengeti is one of the few places where you can experience the full cycle of the Great Migration—herds returning in December with the rains, calves being born in January and February, and the departure as the grass dries toward the end of the rainy season. Due to the seasonal nature of wildlife viewing, the region has a limited number of permanent lodges and just one permanent tented camp. However, there are several mobile camps, ranging from budget-friendly to luxury, which open during the migration months.

You'll kick off the day with an early morning bush breakfast on a game drive, exploring the diverse landscapes of the Ndutu Conservation Area. From marshlands and acacia woodlands to the soda lakes of Ndutu and Masek, and the vast Serengeti plains, each area offers unique wildlife sightings. The marshes are a favourite spot for big cats raising their young, while the short grass plains are where wildebeest give birth during the Great Migration. As evening falls, you'll relax with a drink, sharing stories at the bar before returning to your cottage, where the distant call of hyenas sets the tone for a peaceful, tsetse-free night.

On your final safari day, you'll start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater. Known as the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, its vast floor stretches 260 sq km, teeming with wildlife. During the 5-hour game drive, you'll witness elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in their natural habitat, so keep your camera ready! After a picnic by the scenic Hippo Pool, you’ll ascend the crater and begin the journey back to Arusha. You'll be dropped off in Arusha by late afternoon at your hotel or airport, with unforgettable memories from your adventure.
